Practica
- Mondays 8:00-10:00pm at SLO Vets (near the corner
of Grand & Monterey), $5 donation. Everyone welcome - no partner or
experience necessary. At this supervised practice, work on all elements of
tango from walking, balance, and partnership to adornments, boleos, and
ganchos while dancing to a variety of tango, milonga, and vals.
-
Milonga
- Third Friday of the month, 7:30-9:30pm, no cover, at the Higher Groundz Family Coffee House,
3230 Broad St., Suite 130, San Luis Obispo (Broad and Orcutt), no cover.
The floor there is a bit slippery if you wear leather soled shoes, so a
rubber sole might be a better choice at this location. Come enjoy the music,
dancing, and tasty treats at Higher Groundz!
- The last Saturday of the month, 8:30-11:30pm, at Central Coast Dance,
2004 10th St., Los Osos. The dance studio is located on the
corner of 10th Street and Santa Ynez Ave., above Los Osos Liquor.
Please park on the street, because the lot is reserved for convenience store
customers. A $5 donation to help cover the cost of the dance studio would be
appreciated. Refreshments can be served, so you can bring finger food and
drinks to share.
