Focus on specific traditional tango music to express musical characteristics with dance vocabulary and technique.
$10 drop-in - Thursdays at Nexus, 3845 S. Higuera, SLO with Rich & Emily.

7:30-8:00pm Fundamentals 1 - Moving Together

Dancers not ready for the intermediate level material are welcome to use the first hour for warm-up and practice. Intermediate dancers are welcome to stay and practice or participate in the fundamentals classes. Follow this link for details on class content.

Everyone welcome - no partner or experience necessary. Focus is on
Balance, Flexiblity, and Posture - great for everyone reguardless of
dance style and even non-dancers! Exercises will develop skills expecially
useful for Argentine Tango. Objective is understanding our bodies and
enjoying moving together instead of instruction. Also includes open practice
time with a variety of tango, milonga, vals, and alternative music.
Please fill out the Liability Waiver before your first time participating at Studio de Myriam.
$15 drop-in. - Thursdays 9:00-9:30pm or so at Nexus, 3845 S. Higuera, SLO. Practice on
your own or get feedback from experienced dancers while dancing to a
variety of tango, milonga, vals and alternative music.
$10 drop-in or free with lesson.
- Second Sunday of the Month, at Nexus, 3845 S. Higuera, SLO.
5:00-8:00 pm, we'll have snacks during the dance, and there's plenty of great restaurants to choose from for dinner afterwards.
$10 cover. - Fourth Saturday of the Month (through September), in Los Osos, 2055 9th St, Suite C (Second Floor).
6:00-9:00 pm, Potluck, casual, and fun. Mostly traditional music but also some alternative tandas. Hosted and DJed by Valentina (unless there is a special guest DJ).
$7 cover. - See Workshop details above for associated Friday & Saturday night Milongas.
- We are looking for a nice location for a social dance about once a month. Preferably it would have the feel of a social, public place (like a coffee shop, club, bar, or restaurant) as apposed to a private party atmosphere. If you know of such a place, please contact Rich.
