There is so much more to Tango than just dancing! Kick off the evening with a free discussion group (chamuyo) with Analía Centurión. Get to know her and her perspective on the music, dance, and culture of Tango. Bring your questions and enjoy the evening with this internationally renouned, master instructor from Buenos Aires. She's excited to be back, please come join in.
Continue the evening with a short milonga so she can get to know us better before embarking on a weekend of classes. No cover for this social dancing event at Nexus, downstairs in the SLO Public Market, 3845 S. Higuera, San Luis Obispo.

Tango Walking Options
11:30 am – 1:00 pm Rebounds and Musicality
This class will cover sequences with rebounds or cadencias to express musicality which is fundimentally more important than any step or sequence.
1:30 – 3:00 pm Parada
We will explore combinations with paradas (stops) to control pauses and play with opening and closing the embrace.

7:30 – 10:30 Milonga (Social Dancing)
4375 Poinsettia Street, SLO: From SLO, south on Broad Street, left on Tank Farm, first right on Poinsettia. 4375 is 1/3rd mile on the right. From the south on 227, turn right on Fuller, then right on Poinsettia, 4375 is 50 yards on the right. Please bring a snack and/or a drink to share, donations appreciated.
Sunday, March 5th at Nexus, San Luis Obispo
10:00 – 11:30 am Boleos!
We will work on techniques of pivot fundamentals for both roles that build up to some of Analía's favorite combinations with boleos.
11:30 am – 1:00 pm Saccades
Expore fun sequences that include saccades (displacements of feet and/or legs).
1:30 – 3:00 pm Milonga
Finish off the weekend on a high note as we discover secrets and tips for the Milonga rhythm. We will explore single and double time, speed control, and pivots using Corridas (Runs).
Sunday, March 5th at Odd Fellows' Hall
6:00 – 7:00 Todd's Class (all levels)
7:00 – 9:00 Practica with Analía
$10 for the evening. After Todd's class, Analía will be available to help people review material from her classes and answer questions. Join us at 520 Dana St., San Luis Obispo. From Hwy 101 (north or south), exit on Marsh St. From Marsh, turn left on Nipomo St., and Dana St. is the first left after Higuera.
Monday, March 6th at Nexus, San Luis Obispo
8:00 – 9:30 pm Calesitas
Analía will share her three favorite calisitas (carousel steps). Feel free to stay and practice until 10pm. She will also be availble that last half hour to answer any remaining questions you have from the weekend.

The last 15 minutes of each 90-minute class will be for practice and/or warm-up for next class. Please try to arrive early so you don’t miss anything.
Private instruction is available for $130 per hour, discounted to $110 for singles or couples who have registered for at least one group class. Please contact Rich to schedule private classes.
