There is so much more to Tango than just dancing! Kick off the evening with a free discussion group (chamuyo) with Christy Coté. Get her perspective on the music, dance, and culture of Tango. Bring your questions and enjoy the evening with this internationally renouned master instructor from San Francisco. Come join in the fun.
Continue the evening with great food, drink, music, and most of all dancing. No cover for this social dancing event at Derek's Home, 1343 Pismo St, San Luis Obispo (off Johnson). Limited parking, please carpool if you can. Bring an appetizer or dessert to share and beverage of your choice.

Join us for a Milonga (social dancing) at Gigi's home, 260 Twin Ridge Dr, San Luis Obispo (near Bishop Peak), no cover, but feel free to bring a beverage to share. Christy will supply the music so be ready for a wonderful mix of music to dance some fantastic tandas.

12:00 – 1:30 pm Milonga! Milonga! Milonga!, Part 1
Build a structure for Milonga that will allow you to create improvisational movement to perfectly match the music!
1:30 – 3:00 pm Milonga! Milonga! Milonga!, Part 2
Add to the structure built in Part 1 with fun, playful, and always musical pasos (steps)! It is srongly recommended to take Part 1 in preparation for this class.
3:30 – 5:00 pm Dynamic turns for Vals & Rythmic Tangos (int/adv)
This concept starts with a relatively simple turn and then combines turns for a dynamic result.

Cost for 90-Minute Group Classes:
The last 15 minutes of each 90-minute class will be for practice and/or warm-up for next class. Please try to arrive early so you don’t miss anything.
Private instruction is available for $130 per hour, discounted to $110 for singles or couples who have registered for at least one group class. Please contact Rich to schedule private classes.
Based in San Francisco, Christy Coté has been dancing and teaching Argentine Tango for 27 years. She is one of the most respected teachers in the U.S. today. Christy’s teaching method has been published by Dance Vision in the form of Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum Level videos and accompanying manuals. Christy is a founding member of the all female tango company, Tango Con*Fusión (www.ChristyCote.com/tango-confusion/). The company has performed around the U.S. and Buenos Aires to critical acclaim since 2003. Christy has also performed and taught with some of Tango’s greatest including Pampa Cortes, Carlos Gavito, Marcos Questas, Daniel Lapadula, Facundo Posadas and Eduardo Saucedo.
