Friday, June 24th at Derek's Home, San Luis Obispo

7:30 – 8:30 pm Mini-Milonga

There is so much more to Tango than just dancing! Kick off the evening with a free discussion group (chamuyo) with Analía Centurión. Get to know her and her perspective on the music, dance, and culture of Tango. Bring your questions and enjoy the evening with this internationally renouned, master instructor from Buenos Aires. Come join in the fun.

Continue the evening with a short milonga so she can get to know us better before embarking on a weekend of classes. No cover for this social dancing event at Derek's Home, 1343 Pismo St., San Luis Obispo (off Johnson). Limited parking, please carpool if you can.




Saturday, June 25th at Nexus, San Luis Obispo

11:00 am – 12:30 pm Technique for Both Roles

Analia will share key techniques for both roles and sequences combined with stops. This will include balance exercises, body control, and details of the walk.

12:30 – 2:00 pm Saccades and Embellishments

This class will cover special seccades and embellishments for use in Tango Salon. Analia will provide fundamental rules to achieve these movements comfortably.

2:30 – 4:00 pm Milonga

Finish off the day on a high note as we discover secrets and tips for the Milonga rhythm. We will explore single and double time, speed control, and pivots using Corridas (Runs).


Saturday, June 25th, Milonga at The Sanctuary, Morro Bay

7:30pm – 10:30pm Milonga (Social Dancing)

Dance at 365 Quintana F2, bring snacks or a drink to share. $10 per person.




Sunday, June 26th at Nexus, San Luis Obispo

11:00 am – 12:30 pm Boleos!

Wake up with Boleos. We will learn techniques for both roles and a favoriet combination as Analia introduces us to different boleo styles and we learn different pivot sizes.

12:30 – 2:00 pm Cadenas

Expore fun combinations of chain steps (repeating sequences) as we discover tips and secrets of rebounds and walks.

2:30 – 4:00 pm Endings

What could be more apprpriate for the end of this workshop with Analia than more embellishments plus special tango poses for pauses and endings!

Cost for 90-Minute Group Classes: $35 per person per class. Register for multiple classes at once and save: 2 for $65, 3 for $90, 4 for $110, 5 for $13, or get all 6 for $145. Pre-register online.

The last 15 minutes of each 90-minute class will be for practice and/or warm-up for next class. Please try to arrive early so you don’t miss anything.

Private instruction is available for $130 per hour, discounted to $110 for singles or couples who have registered for at least one group class. Please contact Rich to schedule private classes.




Raised and based in Buenos Aires, Analía Centurión has been dancing and teaching Argentine Tango since 1995. Her career has included dancing with some of the greatest tango dance companies and shows in Bueno Aires and learning from great milongueros like Mingo Pugliese, Puppy Castello, and Gerardo Portalea.

As a teacher she has participated in numerous international tango festivals all over the world: London (2009), Istanbul (2015), Beijing (2009), Hong Kong (2012), Seoul (2010), Sydney (2012 & 2014), Las Vegas (2012-2014), Toronto (2011), Burning Tango (2022), and many more.

In Argentina, Analia is the founder of Centurion Tango Academy in Chacabuco, Bueno Aires, where she has taught and directed her school for more than five years.
