There is so much more to Tango than just dancing!  Enjoy a free discussion group (chamuyo) with Eduardo to get his perspective on the music, dance, and culture of Tango.  Bring your questions and enjoy meeting this fun-loving master instructor. No cover for this event, but feel free to bring snacks to share.

Saturday, August 24th

Explore the difference between tents, Calecitas and Volcadas.

3:30 – 5:00 pm        Milonga (Int/Adv)

Sentimental Milonga – la cunita and other steps and rhythms in Milonga.

Sunday, August 25th

12:00 – 1:30 pm      Styles (All Levels)

The different styles of Tango – the embrace, the positions, the movements, and more.

1:30 – 3:00 pm        Ochos (Int/Adv)

Ochos with Sacadas and Boleos

3:30 – 5:00 pm        Vals (Int/Adv)

Turns and syncopated turns.

 

Classes at Motions Academy of Dance, Atascadero: 4040 El Camino Real, Atascadero: From Hwy 101 (north or south), exit on San Anselmo Rd. Take San Anselmo northeast, turn left on El Camino Real. It's on the left in the K-Mart Shopping Center.

The last 15 minutes of each class will be for practice and/or warm-up for next class.  Please try to arrive early so you donÕt miss anything.

Cost: $30 per person per class.  Register for multiple classes:  2 for $50, 3 for $70, 4 for $80, 5 for $90, all 6 for $100.  Contact Rich to schedule private classes, $110/hr.

Saturday evening, 7:30 – 10:30 pm, Milonga at Rich & LinaÕs home, no cover; pick-up directions in class.

Monday, August 26th at SLO VetsÕ Hall, Grand Ave. & Monterey St., SLO

7:00 – 9:00 pm        Mini-Class & Practica (All Levels)

Mini-Class topic will be improvised based on experience over the weekend. Eduardo will supervise the practice so you can get feedback on material from the workshops. $15 Admission for the evening.

Eduardo Saucedo is internationally recognized for his love and passion of the dance. He travels the world sharing his knowledge and culture with the people he meets. He considers Tango to be an admirable art form that expresses body, mind, spirit and soul. His clear communication and positive energy motivates and inspires passion in everyone and reflects his love and joy of life. His teaching is creative and practical focusing on subtle details. The essence of the Milongas can be felt in Eduardo’s dancing and teaching. His style originates from his working and co-hosting a popular Milonga in Buenos Aires for several years.

Eduardo has complemented this training with studies in various dance disciplines as well as theatre and acting,and is a continuing student of the Performing Arts. He has performed in theatres, appeared on television, and participated in various international tango festivals. He is the Creator, Director, Co-Coreographer and Co-Producer of the dinner show Tango Cafe- Una Noche Ideal, shown in the historical la Confiteria Ideal, as well as other shows.

In Buenos Aires, Eduardo teaches in his private Studio in Palermo, where many other activities and projects are being produced.
