Saturday, September 18th

2:00 – 3:30 pm Fundamentals

Professionals and beginners alike need to work on the fundamental elements of Tango. There is always something in our posture and form to be more aware of to make us look fantastic on the dance floor. Issues with more advanced movements can most often be traced back to balance, foot-work, connection, parallel & crossed (even / uneven) walk, forward & back ochos.

3:30 – 5:00 pm Beyond the Basics

Agustina & Claudio step it up a notch and help us with some more demanding skills: changing directions, changing dynamics, as well as enrosques & acceleration in turns.

7:00 – 8:00 pm Tango for Absolute Beginners
8:00 - 10:00 pm Love 2 Dance, Social Dancing

If you can walk, you can learn to Tango!

Before the dance, kick off the evening with a one hour Argentine Tango lesson. Agustina & Claudio will lead a special introduction covering the basics required to get around the floor. Cost for class and dance together is $10 per person and is not part of the workshop price structure.

Linda Drake is hosting the dance. Come enjoy a varity of music -- tango, ballroom, salsa, west coast swing, etc.

Sunday, September 19th

2:00 – 3:30 pm More Fundamentals

In this class, explore turning techniques and the skills and techniques of both leading and following. We will also examine the essential and elusive role of musicality.

Spice up your Milonga with Agustina & Claudio’s insight to this fun dance with such useful skills as traspié, syncopation, and corridas.

We all had a great time!

Dick and Doris had this to say about the weekend:

We think that they are:
1. amazing dancers - what they can do is incredible,
2. great teachers - every few minutes in all of the classes they were right there with us pointing out what to do to do the steps better. They were totally attentive and caring. They seemed genuinely interested in having us learn what they were teaching,
3. simply friendly, outgoing, personable, lovely people. How can anyone help but like them.
So would we ever take classes from them again? IN A HEART BEAT!!

Return to SLO Tango.
