Argentine Tango & Salsa Workshop

with The Otero Dance Company

Singles welcome, no partner required.

Saturday, August 21^st

1:00 – 2:30pm

Beginning Salsa
No experience or partner needed. Great for first time dancers. Taught by Gloria and Claudio Otero.

Inter/Adv Salsa
For the experienced salsa dancers, spins, turns, and intriguing movements. Taught by Jo and Jose Santoyo.

2:30 – 4:00pm

Beginning/Technique Tango
No experience or partner needed. Emphasis on lead and follow. Taught by Gloria Otero & Gaston Cena.

Inter/Adv Tango
For those familure with ochos and giros, explore enrosques and adornos. Taught by Claudio Otero & Elizabeth Roccella.

Chumash Auditorium at Cal Poly

Enter Cal Poly on Grand Ave. Park (a permit is not required on Saturday) in the Parking Structure (#130 on map) Chumash Auditorium is on the top floor of the University Union (Building 65, see map).

$18 per person per class. Students and CP Salsa members save $5.

The last 15 minutes of each class will be for practice and/or warm-up for next class. Please try to arrive early so you don’t miss anything.

Also on August 21^st, the Asociacion Cultural Latino Americana proudly presents "Going South!" Musifiesta 2004, a magical journey to Argentina with The Otero Dance Company. These renown dancers will present a unique show with gauchos, boleadoras and bombos, passionate tango, and stunningly sexy salsa. This is the Association's annual fundraising event with proceeds going to scholarships for the local youth. Tickets are $60 for dinner, show, and dancing at the Pismo Beach Veterans' Hall, 780 Bello St., Pismo Beach, from 5:30 to 11:00pm.
