Argentine Tango Workshop

with Fernanda & Guillermo

Singles welcome, no partner required.

Wednesday, July 28th

8:30 – 9:30 pm Chamuyo at Higher Groundz

There is so much more to Tango than just dancing! There is no cover charge for this evening discussion group (chamuyo) at the Higher Groundz Family Coffee House, 3230 Broad St., Suite 130, San Luis Obispo (Broad and Orcutt). Fernanda & Guillermo will talk about the music and Tango in general. This is a great opportunity to learn about the context of the dance and to ask lots of questions. They will probably also do a demo or two for your enjoyment. No charge for the chat, but Higher Groundz does have very tasty goodies on the menu.

Thursday, July 29th

In this special one-day workshop, Fernanda & Guillermo will work with dancers of all levels.

6:00 – 7:15 pm Posture, Axis, & Movement

Fundamentals of movement and balance - the foundation of the dance. Mastery of these fundamentals makes more advanced elements and combinations possible.

7:15 – 8:30 pm Special Dual Class

- Men's Technique (with Guillermo)
- Women's Technique (with Fernanda)
Tango is composed of two very different and complimentary parts. When combined, they produce a single, memorable experience.

8:30 – 9:45 pm Musicality & Emotion

Unlock the secrets of interpreting music and expressing emotion through your dance.
