Argentine Tango Workshop

with Christy Coté

Singles welcome, no partner required.

Friday, May 21st

6:30 – 7:30 pm Chamuyo and
7:30 – 10:00 pm Milonga at Higher Groundz

There is so much more to Tango than just dancing! Kick off the evening with a free discussion group (chamuyo). Christy will talk about the music and Tango in general. This is a great opportunity to learn about the context of the dance and ask lots of questions. No charge for the chat, but Higher Groundz does have tasty goodies on the menu.

Continue the evening with great food, drink, music, and most of all dancing. Christy will probably do a demo or two for your enjoyment. No cover for this social dancing event at the Higher Groundz Family Coffee House, 3230 Broad St., Suite 130, San Luis Obispo (Broad and Orcutt).

Saturday, May 22nd

3:30 – 5:00 pm Dancing with Pugliese

The elegant sound of Osvaldo Pugliese's orchestra and the modern day Color Tango playing in the genre of Pugliese have inspired many. In this workshop, we will create a vocabulary fitting for this music and discover how pauses, changes, and dynamics can bring your dancing to the next level!
